The Bayou Boys' Bond

   I was thinking about how lucky we are that Bentley and Pierre get along so well. They are both so different but make the perfect duo. Who would have thought a lovable Basset Hound and a feisty Westie would become inseparable? I know that isn't always the case with dogs. One of the things I am most thankful for is the tight bond the boys have formed. Let me explain further.

It Takes a Village to Move

   It is hard to believe that we have been in our new home a little over a week. Our journey began over a year and a half ago. I haven’t shared too much behind the scenes of selling our home and buying a new one in a different city/state. Now that the dust is settling, I want to thank all the people who helped us get here. Believe me, it takes a village!

Why I Am So Thankful This Thursday

   It has been a good while since I participated in a Thankful Thursday post. Not because I didn’t have anything to be thankful for, it is just that my calendar is full, so I put it off for another week.

  Sometimes you receive such good news that all other things get pushed back and you want to shout THANK YOU from the rooftop or quietly with your head bowed. In this case, I want to do both!

Bentley: “I’m not going to lie, I love getting a bath. Seriously, have you ever smelled a dirty hound dog? Let’s just say that it is not pleasant. We have some amazing smelling shampoo and it leaves my coat feeling fur-bulous!”

Things Pet Parents Say

   As loving pet parents, we often speak to our dogs and cats just as we would anyone else. You probably don’t give it much thought but if we were overheard some people might think we are an odd group.

Here are a few things that can be overheard at our house.

“What is in your mouth?”

“Do you want out just so you can come back in?”

“Who’s the good boy?”

“What is in your mouth, now?”
