February is Responsible Pet Owners month. Before the month becomes a distant memory, let me share some of my favorite tips for being a responsible pet owner.

Things Pet Parents Say

   As loving pet parents, we often speak to our dogs and cats just as we would anyone else. You probably don’t give it much thought but if we were overheard some people might think we are an odd group.

Here are a few things that can be overheard at our house.

“What is in your mouth?”

“Do you want out just so you can come back in?”

“Who’s the good boy?”

“What is in your mouth, now?”

   February is not only the month of love; it is also Responsible Pet Owners Month. In the eyes of the law, we own our pets instead of them being part of our family. Since I disagree with that sentiment, I will be referring to it as Responsible Pet Parent Month.

   As pet parents, we occasionally say things that only other pet parents can understand. Everyone else thinks we are a little strange.
