Happy 11th Birthday Bentley

   It’s my birthday and as you can tell, I’m thrilled to be turning 11 years old.

   Seriously, this senior dog still feels like a pup most days. Mom and Dad make sure I always have great food from Dr. Harvey’s which is very important to my overall health. Playing is an important key to staying young so I get some running and chasing in each day. Having Pierre around has definitely helped keep me spry! He can sometimes be a typical little brother but I don’t know what I’d do without him.

   Turning 11 is a big deal for me but I couldn't resist showing a couple of baby pictures. So what do I have planned for this important day? I’ll start the morning off waking Mom up extra early by gently scratching on her sheets. When she opens her eyes, I plant a big ol’ kiss right on her face. She’ll climb out of bed where I’ll be on my back waiting for my belly rubs. That’s when she’ll laugh and lay down beside me to give me snuggles and scratches. We’ve done this for as long as I can remember and it’s our favorite part of the day.

   After breakfast, I am hoping for a walk then a trip to the store to pick out my birthday cookie. We saw Mom put some Dogsters ice cream in the freezer the other day so I’m thinking PARTY!! Ohhh, with presents!! I’ll share pictures from my big day with you later this week.

   As all dogs know, it is better to give than to receive so I am giving one lucky reader all these amazing gifts!
