What's Happening on the Bayou?

Bentley Basset: “We thought today would be a good time to catch up on the things happening around the bayou this month. There were some fireworks on New Year’s Eve but, I had my *Treatibles and settled in for a nice snooze.”

Pierre Westie: “After a couple of months of ear trouble, I finally got a clean bill of health from my vet. They had to pack it and give me some pills to clear up my infection. Don’t worry, Mom has started me on the Purple Stuff so I’m sure we’ve seen the last of ear infections around here. Mom was worried that I’d turn purple, but she wiped my ears with a paper towel after I shook my head. I checked myself in the mirror once we came back inside and I looked wagnificent! If it keeps my ears from getting infected, I’m all for it!”
Bentley: “We want to send a huge congratulations to the L.S.U. Tigers football team. They won the National Championship Monday night. It is a wonder the police didn’t show up at our house thinking someone was being tortured. Mom and Dad cheered so loud that Pierre and I tried to calm them down. We thought they were upset but they reassured us that they were celebrating. Humans can get really loud when they bark and howl.”
Pierre: “I did want to share one other thing that happened. A huge Texas-sized squirrel was playing on our lamp pole on the other side of our fence. It is the first time one has gotten near our yard since we moved. Believe me when I say he got an earful from the Bayou Boys! I’m keeping my paws crossed that it comes back for another round of barking.”

  3. Hope your ears stay with with the purple stuff. We don't like using it, but it keeps us from infections which means a vet visit, so we deal with it once a month. Mom put out feeders on two of our trees to try to get some squirrels into our yard. We have seen one or two, but so far it isn't working as well as we had hoped. Have a great rest of the week.

  4. Such a cute image of your two in our LSU finery!
And that squirrel is probably scared right out of it's nuts, with you two barking at it!

  5. It's good to hear from you pups. I hope that evil squirrel high-tailed it right out of Texas with you guys barking at it. It's been so warm around here that the squirrels are out and raiding our birdie feeders.

We're glad your ears are doing well, Pierre. Hope you dont have any more problems.
