Paw Prints on my Heart

Meme of a Basset Hound's paws The paw prints on my heart

These are the paw prints that are on my heart
But others have been there from the start.
It's a wonder that it can still beat
From all the cat and puppy feet.
There is only one place that I’d rather them be
And that is snuggled next to me.
Heaven is a place or so they say
Where once again we all will play
With the dogs and cats that left their print
So that’s where I want my eternity spent.

  4. I love those paws, Bentley! There are lots of paws waiting! Mom prefers them in her heart, but at night, Bailie prefers to plant them in her face randomly! She says she has grown accustomed to that and would miss it if Bailie stopped kicking her while she sleeps.

  16. What a beautiful sentiment. I will never forget all the Furry paw prints that have left their mark on my heart. Like they say, if my pets don't go to heaven I dont want to go either. I want to go whever it is they are.

  19. Bassets have the most interesting feet. So meaty! I'll bet that foot is as big as Sinead's entire head!
