Do you give your dog’s probiotics? I began giving them to the Bayou Boys after I was hit with a $700 veterinary bill. The final diagnosis? He had an upset stomach and should take some probiotics. I have added a spoonful of probiotic powder to their evening meal. It helps keep their digestive system healthy.
We recently received a bag of ACTIVPETZ™ from our friends at Loving Pets. They are tasty dog treats fortified with significant levels of vet recommended supplements. Bentley and Pierre love the Chicken Jerky Digestive Health + Probiotic Formula. It is always nice to find an alternative that the boys are excited about. The first ingredient is chicken so they didn’t hesitate to take them. I like that they are made in the USA without grain, wheat, gluten, soy or corn.
ACTIVPETZ treats are soft and easy to break into smaller pieces. Loving Pets even put scored marks on them so you can give a half or fourth if you’d like. I break Pierre’s into smaller pieces because he can’t have as much as Bentley.
Here are the daily feeding instructions:
• Under 15 lbs. (<6.8 kg.) ~ ½ treat
15–30 lbs. (6.8-13.6 kg.) ~ 1 treat
30-50 lbs. (13.6-22.7 kg.) ~ 2 treats
You can order ACTIVPETZ Jerky Digestive Health + Probiotic Formula on Amazon. It is available in lamb too! Many probiotics are pricey but a 7 oz. bag of these are only $14.99 and with your PRIME membership, shipping is free.
We are big fans of Loving Pets’ products and can now add their yummy digestive and probiotic treats to our list of favorites. Be sure to follow Loving Pet on Facebook & Twitter to keep up with all their pawsome products. Tell them Bentley & Pierre sent you.

ReplyDeleteIt is such a tasty way to get our probiotics!
DeleteYou've certainly given my Mum ideas, what with all the 'stuff' I snaffle and eat a bit of probiotics in my tummy might help digest some of the disgusting (Mum's word not mine!) stuffs

ReplyDeleteBentley doesn't have trouble very often but Pierre has always had issues.
DeleteThat's pretty clever, like how it's in a treat.
ReplyDeleteI already add powdered supplements to their meals so being able to give one as a treat is wonderful. ☺
DeleteProbiotics are good for everyone. I have a powder form for the kitties.

ReplyDeleteZoey gets a probiotic but it's not a yummy treat...it's a big ol' capsule. She wants a yummy treat now.

ReplyDeleteKisses,

I give Luke pumpkin and sometimes yogurt to keep his tummy settled, though he really doesn't have many issues. It's always good to know there are other things that can help if we ever need it!
