I have mentioned before that the hardest part of pet blogging is saying good-bye to our friends when they cross the Rainbow Bridge. It happened again last week when Bilbo from Da DB Boyz left us. He has joined his sister Dory who just went to the Bridge a few weeks ago. We want to send our deepest condolences to their family.

This made me think about the beloved pets that have left paw prints on our hearts. Our first puppy, Madison the German Shepherd crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 1997. I shared this story a few years ago but thought it would be appropriate to tell it again. As often happens when I start writing, I lost myself in my memories. It started out happy and as I went through the years, it eventually came to the time she had to leave us.
