The North Shore Animal League America's Tour for Life 2015 is rolling in to Shreveport, LA. They’ve selected the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana as their partner shelter!
This is the 15th year the Animal League has hit the road with
four enormous tour buses traveling at the same time across the United States. They will stop in 40 cities across 25
states. Being selected as one of their
tour stops is a big deal! Congratulations
HSNWLA and thanks to the Tour of Life®. *To learn more about the work of the Animal League, click here.

This is a huge opportunity to shine the spotlight on this
wonderful local shelter and its amazing volunteers. I’ve had the honor of visiting and touring
the shelter. I was so impressed with the
incredible work they do and the love they show for each individual pup. I decided to work with the humane society
because I adopted my first cat from our local humane society many, many years ago. It is my way of saying, “Thanks for a
wonderful friend.” The HSNWLA is only able to shelter dogs now, but they do a fabulous job.

When the Tour for Life mobile unit pulls in to town, they will
pick up the dogs from the humane society and transport them to the big
event. If you are in the area, please
stop by and show your support for the HSNWLA and all of the other incredible
rescues in the Shreveport/Bossier area.
*The HSNWLA is the shelter I chose to receive the $500 donation I
recently won from The Lucy Foundation. I
participated in the #LucyBowl campaign and my blog was selected for the
donation. I received a beautiful thank-you
card from the shelter last week. Each of
the volunteers had commented and signed it.
It was incredibly sweet.

That sounds great! We don't have anything like the Tour for Life here, wish we did! I love the fact that they pick up all the dogs from the chosen shelter and take them to the event, hopefully it will raise awareness and there will be lots more adoptions! Fantastic that you donated your winnings to the shelter too :-)
