If you have a dog that needs to be professionally groomed, there is nothing more important than to find a groomer that you trust. We have taken Pierre to several different shops to have him spruced up. There have been some successes and some definite failures. You would think that grooming a Westie would be a simple cut. Obviously, it is not. We have picked him up to find his ear hair sticking out like Gizmo or his feet shaved super close. Don’t tell him that I said this, but he looked ridiculous!
A couple of years ago I got a campaign for PetSmart® Grooming through BlogPaws® and met some great groomers. It turned out that one of the ladies was a friend of our daughter. I immediately remembered her from the school since I worked there too. Her name is Ann B. and she is AMAZING! PetSmart makes it easy to call and schedule an appointment with your favorite groomer. That is just what I did and we were able to book a grooming appointment on Wednesday.
I am not quite sure how he does it but Pierre has a built-in GPS that no matter where we drive, he always knows where we are going. That means when we take a turn toward the vet, our walking trail or PetSmart, he can tell. Of course, since Bentley wasn’t with us, he knew something was up when we headed to the store.
It had been a few months since his last “beauty” appointment and he was looking rather ragged. The boys were at the pet resort for over a week and they haven’t had a bath so Ann had a lot of work to make him fur-bulous! As you can see, she did another wonderful job on our little man. If you live in the Shreveport/Bossier area and are looking for an awesome groomer, trust your pup to Ann B. at the Youree Drive PetSmart. You won’t be disappointed.

You always look so beautiful too!
DeleteI feel very fortunate that mom is my groomer - not that I'm thrilled about being groomed but I do tolerate it.
ReplyDeleteI can't even cut the boys' nails so grooming is out of the question! ππ€£
DeleteLook-ing good, Pierre! You're such a handsome boy anyway and now you're rocking the new 'do.'
ReplyDeleteAwww, thank you so much π
DeleteBailie and Madison go to the PetSmart groomer Mom likes for some clean up now and then. I have my own groomer at another salon. Our furs need to be stripped which is a specialized thing most places don't do, so PetSmart is just for baths and pawdicures with my sisters. Pierre looks great!
ReplyDeleteBentley has never been to the groomer but Pierre has to go several times a year. πΎπΎ
DeleteI have to go see Miss Jacquie next Monday. (Ghostwriter says I look like a a ragamuffin right now.) It's definitely good to have a groomer you can trust and does a good job. She always remembers not to use any products on me that have a perfume smell because ghostwriter is allergic to them.
ReplyDeleteThe difference a great groomer can make is incredible!
DeleteLooking smart, P. Mom unceremoniously dumps me into the tub, shampoos and conditions my furs, and dries me with 85 towels. Humiliating.

That's how the stay clean around here too! BOL! π€£
DeletePierre looks awesome! It is so important to have a groomer that you like and trust. While we don't need a groomer with the current crew we were really happy with the tech at our vet's office for Sheba. It got to where Sheba didn't even mind going there at all. Well, except for when she had so see the vet...she knew the difference! :)

DeleteFinding a good groomer for a dog sounds as difficult as finding a good hairdresser for a lady ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteIt really is difficult. I wish Ann could do my hair too! π
DeletePierre are radiating handsome-ness and beautiful smile nearly made mom run out to the car for her Foster Grants! OMCS good buddy you clean up really good
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
Thanks so much! He loves when he looks and feels great.
DeleteAfter a few expensive disasterous groomers, SHE bought some tools of torture and does it herself....using the lines of the groomer and youtube videos. Sometimes we look strange for a day or so. Finding a good groomer is difficult.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to groom Pierre but that's not going to happen! That's awesome that you do it yourself.
DeletePierre, you clean up well!
ReplyDeleteThank you my friends!
DeleteWow Pierre! you look great!

ReplyDeleteNow, if he will just stay clean for a few days!!
DeleteOh dude, you look FABulous!!!!! I can only HOPE for such treatment. You knows what I go through. It's a MIRACLE if I gets through it without a bloodbath! Why, just YESTERDAY, Ma 'groomed' me, and took a DIVOT of furs right on my HEAD! OMD, I look RIDICULOUS!!!! I try and hide it , butts it's no use. you thinks Miss Ann would fly across the country to save me??!
ReplyDeleteI can pay her in margaritas and milkbones. I will even lets her stay in my doggie bed! Wells, you let me know....
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Oh no! Do you still have both ears?? Margaritas might be tempting for her!
DeletePierre looks so dapper! I made the mistake of getting Nelly's cut a little shorter than I like it just before a photo shoot. Oh well, she'll look even better for the next one.
ReplyDeleteSO handsome and bet smells real good too.
ReplyDeletePierre looks absolutely fabulous!! We use PetSmart grooming too. We just moved back to NY as you know, & everything is so crowded & full here all the time. No surprise we simply could not get an appointment at the PetSmart groomers so we tried somewhere else. What a mistake. Poor Phoebe came back with some weird stuff sticking to her inner ears. I was confused about it but soon realized the groomer must have knicked her inner ears making them bleed and they put that powder on to stop the bleeding. I couldn't understand what the glue-like substance was... poor Phoebe. It's so important to have a great groomer, I really miss my PetSmart groomer Brittany back in Phoenix.
