I
have to tell y’all what Pierre did the other day. First of all, I have
mentioned that he has a crush on the female yellow Lab that lives behind us. They
have only met through the fence. I don’t know her parents, so the two are left
exchanging sweet nothings through the pickets.
*A little sidebar…Bentley
does not like her and thinks she deserves his harshest barking.
Okay,
now that I have given you the background story let me tell you what our little
Romeo did to impress his Juliet.
We
were sitting on the patio relaxing while Skipper grilled us some chicken on
Monday. The boys were sniffing around in hopes that Dad would drop a piece of
meat or that some kids would ride bikes by so they could run and bark. After no
action for a few minutes Bentley was making his way back to the porch. All of
the sudden Pierre comes racing up to him and begins a wrestling match! Bentley
didn’t really want to wrestle but they did their usual snappy jumpy roughhousing.
It didn’t last a minute, but it is what happened afterwards that had us laughing.
Pierre’s
girlfriend must have been let out of the house moments before Pierre decided to
show off his wrestling skills. I glanced over and saw her through the fence
watching them. Obviously, Pierre knew she was there because after jumping poor Bentley,
he went over and stood sideways so she could admire him for a minute. Then, he
went over to talk at the fence and I’m sure was really laying it on thick for
her!
I’ve
seen guys show off for girls but that is the first time to ever seen a dog do
it. Pierre is such a little flirt!

hahahaha dogs are like some twolegged men, aren't they? if they want to attract a girl they push all buttons!!! Phenny did this too he teased another guy to attract Glizenn the weim-girl of a friend, sadly he picked the wrong "enemy" it was Pasha the dearhound who suddenly barked back and scared the xx out of the little bugger... but nevertheless the girl was impressed, even when her galahad escaped stern first and caused a mess as he jumped between us to take cover from the pony sized Pasha... ;O)))
