The Bayou Boys Give Thanks

Bentley Basset: “Hello and happy Thanksgiving to those of you celebrating today. We thought it would be a good idea to post the things that we, the Bayou Boys, are grateful for this year.

This year as in every single year since I was born, I am thankful for belly rubs. It is the way I start each morning and there are many dogs that don’t get belly rubs. I don’t take them for granted.”

Pierre Westie: “I have to say that is a good one to start with because I will go belly up right beside you for dual belly rubs. Still, 2020 has given me a new appreciation for walks. I love getting out in the fresh air and reading pee mail. I’m thankful for walks.

Bentley: “Yeah, walks are excellent but freshly boiled chicken breasts have me barking my thanks too. We need to be thankful for our awesome food. Dr. Harvey’s is an excellent diet for me and their supplements keep me strong. I’m in amazing shape and will be 13 years old next week!

I’m thankful for my food and BIRTHDAYS!

Pierre: “I love food, but we are still trying to get a grip on my IBD. It’s been a long week waking up at 3:30am with tummy trouble and we are praying to see results soon. We are thankful that my problem is not more serious. Mom and Dad are monitoring me constantly, but do you think there will be cake for your birthday?!? I’d be thankful for cake!”

Bentley: “I don’t think either of our tummies will take the cake. I’m sure we will celebrate with something tasty.

I guess you should know that I am thankful you are my brother. You are my best friend and I wouldn’t share my humans with anyone else.”

Pierre: “Awww, I’m thankful for you too. We are pretty lucky guys. Our parents love us, and we have comfy beds, plenty of food, great vet care, and belly rubs. Yep, 2020 might have been an overall bust but we still have so much to be thankful for.

We are mostly grateful to all of our loyal friends and readers. You are the reason that we are here and hope you know we are thankful for each and every one of you.

Hey, do I smell turkey??”
