 Me: “It is hard to believe that seven years have passed since we began Barking from the Bayou.”

Bentley Basset: “Of course, that is human years which means Pierre and I have been blogging for forty-nine years. Do we need to talk about a retirement plan?”

Pierre Westie: “Hang on there one minute! I am way too young to think about retirement. I have lots of things left to bark about and our readers count on us to give them something to smile about once a week.”

Barking from the Bayou Turns 5

   It is difficult to believe that five years have passed since we decided to become Barking from the Bayou. I have learned so much since that December 13, 2013 when we went from a writer’s blog to a dog lifestyle blog.

   Of course, that gave the Bayou Boys a job that includes testing toys, treats, and lots of other dog products. They think it’s a great gig and are looking forward to many more years of sharing their opinions with all of you. They have a few more before Christmas and are excited for 2019.

Looking Back on 3 Years of Barking from the Bayou

   It is hard to believe that it was 3 years ago today that my life went to the dogs. Literally. What started out as a platform for my book series morphed into a lifestyle dog blog and I couldn’t be happier. Barking from the Bayou has become much more than a hobby. My husband Skipper and I have worked to build the blog into a place where our readers can forget the troubles of life and enjoy a laugh or smile. We have learned so much and have so much more to learn. I know blogging has made me a better pet parent to Bentley and Pierre. It is our hope that we have helped you too.

Bentley: “Is it Christmas?”

Me: “It’s not Christmas. It is our second blogiversary! That means that we have been Barking from the Bayou for two years!”

Bentley: “Do we get presents?”

Pierre: “And cake…please let there be cake.”
