My Dog is Hungry

On Wordless Wednesday, we asked what Bentley had on his mind.  If you guessed dinner, ding*ding*ding, you’re absolutely correct. There is no doubt about how to tell when he is hungry. He has his dinner timed within a five-minute window.  After that, he is certain hallucinations and starvation are imminent.  This is what happens if I don’t react to his initial hint.
 “Excuse me…Mom.”

 “Mom, look at the time!”

“Hey Dad, I need that spot on the couch.  Mom is not moving toward the kitchen.”

“MOM!!!  My dinner is officially late!”

How does your pet let you know it's time to eat?

  1. I bark when I get hungry. Course, I bark all da time. But when I'm hungry I bark in da kitchen.

  2. You just can't get good staff these days LOL. Have a super Saturday.
    Best wishes Molly

  3. When I'm hungry I sit by the kitchentable and look at it. Then I either get my food or a treat. Same tactics.

  4. We dogs don't really worry about it, but cat bro Bert rips the toilet paper to shreds in the half bath if his dinner is late! You are pretty funny, Bentley!

  5. Our cat, Cody, starts circling and relentlessly whining, Dakota joins him by beginning a barking frenzy :) Wish they were more like Bentley!

  6. 2.45 on the dot - every day - Mr Denny comes over to me and does his "oh oh winge" ......that means dinner time. It use to be 3.00 but when we switched to sojos food - it became 2.45 because I have to let the sojos soak for 15 minutes to be read for 3.00. Smart little Denny figured out the time difference :)

  7. BOL....Our Bilbo has been the pack's dinner alarm clock for the past 10 years...He sounds the alarm at 5pm every day...he gets very annoyed during the transition of Daylight Savings Time....BOL

  8. LOL!! I'm cracking up because Isis is the same way; she knows precisely when it's time to eat. If we are late, she gives us that low growling sound which gets progressively worse w/ each minute. Like if she doesn't eat on time she will never eat again.... Great pics of Bentley, as always!

  9. THAT was the PERFECT Look fur the "I am WAITING fur you to get my dinner" thingy.

WE tend to PACE and CRY... when mom is ALMOST late with OUR dinner... It is SUCH a Worry... Now of Course we DO have our SELF Feeder which has NEVER EVER been EMPTY... butt we Do Love our WET DINNER FOODS. And THAT is what we must WAIT for.

  10. haha! I have actually thought about doing a post on what my huskies do when they are hungry!
Well, Koda at least, he always goes over to his dish and pushes it with his paw, and he will flip the bowl over as well BOL!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!

  11. That explains why Bentley looked so serious!
My hubby does most of the feedings, and if he happens to be sitting on the couch at supper time, Cricket will get right up on top of him in his face and start licking him!

  12. My boys have an internal clock. Once 730 pm rolls around, they are pacing and staring at me...

  13. Those are some nice pics. We free feed so it isn't an issue at our house.

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  14. When it gets to be dinner time and I see Momma isn't moving...I give her the stare. With a whine tossed in now and then for good measure!

  15. Insistent meows...head bonks...and ALlie brings us her fave toy mousie, MEOWING all the way!

  16. OMD, those pics are just pawsome!!! Bentley, you tell her! You might just have to call the ASPCA next time! Geesh.
I'm a free feeder, so I mostly can eat anytime I wants, so no worries here. Oh, unless I eats all my kibble in the bowl and wants more....and Ma says no. Then some whining can start....☺
    Ruby ♥

  17. Millie doesn't care when she gets fed but Walter is our alarm clock for every food event in our house including the people meals.

  18. I miaow VERY loud again and again and again :)

  19. Rooney is the same way!! His reminders also come with lots of noise!

I'd love to hear from you! Bark back!
