A Work of Art

Like any good pet parent, I have 3,000+ photos of Bentley and Pierre on my phone and won’t hesitate to show them to anyone that stands still long enough. Of course, the photos that Skipper takes of them just scream to be displayed and what better way to showcase my favorites than on canvas. I love, love, love the look of canvas photos and I've been needing one of Pierre. That’s why I was so excited when I discovered Collage.com. The process looked super easy, so I enlisted the help of the Bayou Boys for our review.
*We received n 11x14 canvas print in exchange for this review. Barking from the Bayou only shares products or services that we love, and feel will benefit our readers. Collage.com is not responsible for the contents of this article
Two dogs ordering online at laptop
Pierre: “I can’t wait to order my canvas print. The Collage.com website sure does make it simple. The first thing we need to do is find the perfect photo of me. Wow, that’s going to be difficult because let’s face it, they are all pretty cute.”
Bentley: “You know, we could always use several photos to make an actual collage. That way, you could include your dashing Basset Hound brother. Just sayin’.”
Pierre: “No, Mom said to order a canvas print with only me because we have one of you already. I am going to choose a black & white photo so it will match yours. Ohh, I look very distinguished in this one. Let’s see what’s our next step.”Collage.com step one
“Can you believe all the products they have to choose from? You can order blankets, phone cases, mugs, photo books, photo puzzles, posters, custom tote bags and acrylic prints. I’m selecting the 11x14 canvas print. As with all fine artwork, you start with a blank canvas. Next I have to upload my photo from our files. You can also use a Facebook, Google, or Instagram pic. There are options to add designs, different backgrounds or text. We decided to keep mine simple but will definitely play around with our next order!”

Collage.com step 2
“After you’ve got the photo on your screen, select options and choose your photo’s orientation. For mine, I picked wide with my edge option the cover front. It made the edges black which is perfect.
You can also choose to have a border or if you are making a collage, you can design it in different shapes. It is really cool and if you ever get stuck or can’t decide on an option, they offer a Live Chat widget where someone is available to help.

Collage.com confirmation
“That’s it! It could not be easier and after you review the item, you’ll receive a confirmation with your estimated date of delivery. It is incredibly fast if you need a quick present and would make a wonderful gift for Father’s Day!”Collage.com canvas print of Westie
“Look how awesome my Collage.com canvas print turned out!! We all love it and the quality is top-notch. They offer a ‘Just Right’ guarantee but ours is amazing and I couldn’t be happier.
Of course we want you to be happy too, so our friends at Collage.com are giving one of our lucky readers their very own 11x14 canvas print. All you have to do is enter with our Rafflecopter form below.
   Good luck, y’all!”

Pierre Westie: “Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve had to say good-bye to some pawsome friends. Our orange buddy, Crockett, from The Lone Star Cats was lost in a tragic ladder accident. He was so loved and will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Beary Tasty Treats for Dogs

Bentley is 100% motivated by food. If you expect him to cooperate, there had better be something in it for his tummy. Being a senior, it is important for him to maintain a healthy weight so we’re particular about the treats we give him. That's why I was so excited to discover Charlee Bear Meaty Bites. They are the perfect size for a treat or I can break them in half for training sessions.
*We are being compensated for sharing Charlee Bear® Meaty Bites dog treats. Barking from the Bayou only shares products that we use and believe our readers will benefit from knowing about. Charlee Bear is not responsible for the contents of this article. All opinions are my own.
Charlee Bear Grain Free Meaty Bites Chicken & Blueberries
Charlee Bear Grain Free Meaty Bites are 100% grain free and made in the USA. The Chicken & Blueberries are made with select cuts of raw chicken then, they're infused with blueberries that you can see! These meaty bites are freeze dried for the maximum nutritional value.
Charlee Bear Grain Free Meaty Bites Beef Liver & Sweet Potatoes
Charlee Bear Grain Free Meaty Bites Beef Liver & Sweet Potatoes begin with USA raised raw beef then, for a taste sensation, they add sweet potatoes before freeze drying. This unique and incredibly healthy treat will be a favorite at your house!

Bentley: “I like to give all my treats the sniff test. MMM…I can smell fresh blueberries! You do know that blueberries and sweet potatoes are both super foods, right? That makes these treats super too!
Charlee Bear is a family owned company and has been making quality treats for over 25 years. A little rescue dog named Charlee was the inspiration for their name. Yes, you guessed it. The little guy was a heart stealer and looked like a teddy bear! It is their mission to make simple, nourishing and natural treats that dogs love.”

“Okay, here’s the deal. The smell test is important but it’s the taste test that makes or breaks a treat for me. Wow! Excuse the stream of drool but y’all simply have to try a Charlee Bear’s Meaty Bites to appreciate how delectable each bite tastes. Crunchy yet light with just the perfect amount of blueberry in each one. Did I mention they are only 5 tiny calories a piece?”

“Let me shoot you straight on Meaty Bites from Charlee Bear. I love them. Both flavors are scrumptious. You can trust my taste buds because I have eleven and a half years of treat expertise under my collar. Treats are life. Mom carries them on our walks to divert my attention from other dogs. Something about me being too macho for my own good. Anyway, she just whips one out of her bag and everything around me disappears except for that yummy Charlee Bear treat. We will be ordering more on *Amazon so I can have them delivered to my front door practically overnight! It’s like it says on the bag, they are Beary Tasty Treats™.”
You can follow Charlee Bear on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for lots of fun photos, videos, and new products.

BFTB NETWoof News May 13, 2019

Bentley Basset Hound: “Hello and welcome to this week’s BFTB NETWoof News. We hope that you had a wonderful weekend. Let’s check with Pierre for our top story.”
Pierre Westie: “Our top story is that our news researcher (mom) spent the weekend enjoying herself and spending time watching her great nephew play college baseball. They visited with family in town for the weekend and she failed miserably to find our news stories. Bentley and I checked out some local pee mail but found no good news there. We are cutting Mom some slack because of Mother’s Day but won’t hesitate to write her up if it happens again. Just sayin’.”

BFTB NETWoof News May 6, 2019

Bentley Basset Hound: “Hello and welcome to BFTB NETWoof News. We have some great reports for you so let’s throw it over to Pierre for our top story.”
Pierre Westie: “Thanks, Bentley and hi everyone! We have to start off with the Kentucky Derby Debacle. For the first time in the race’s 145-year history, the horse that crossed the finish line first was disqualified for interference.
Maximum Security was a favorite to win the first leg of the Triple Crown race on a sloppy track, but it was a 65-1 longshot named Country House that was declared the winner after a twenty-minute review delay. There were a lot of disappointed fans but some very lucky ticket holders that won $132.40 on a $2.00 bet!”

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Confession time…I LOVE sports, not playing but watching them. You need to understand when I say sports, I am talking about the southern holy trinity of sports: baseball, football and basketball. The problem that I’ve always had is where we lived until last year had zero professional ball teams. That left us cheering for LSU, New Orleans Saints, and the high school where I used to work. I'll always love LSU and the Saints but they were several hours away from our house.
Fast forward to our new home where we can root for the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, and the Houston Rockets!! I am in sports fan heaven.
Last Friday we went to watch the Astros play the Cleveland Indians at Minute Maid Park in downtown Houston. I was so excited to attend my first Astros game! They even gave me a certificate to commemorate the day. Come with me as I take you out to the ballgame.
