Ring My Bells

When Pierre came to live with us, our daughter had trained him to use *Poochie Bells when he needs to go outside. He is a little gentleman when it comes to ringing the bells. A simple brush of them to let us know it’s time. When we moved to our new home, the bells were one of the first things unpacked.

I need to explain that in our old house, Bentley had always raised the blinds on the backdoor and let them clank against the door when he wanted to go outside. When Pierre moved in and we hung up the bells, Bentley refused to use them. We tried over and over to get him to simply ring the dang bells, but he insisted on clanking the blinds! The bells were actually lower than the blinds most of the time. We raised them for Pierre’s squirrel patrol. It got to the point where all we could do was laugh about it.
When we moved to our new home, there are no blinds. He has begrudgingly agreed to use the bells but as you can see, he makes a big production out of it.
This is not a sponsored post. I love the Poochie Bells and have several different ribbons. They are available in a lot of cute designs and colors. Who knows, it might save your blinds!

  8. So smart. I love Pierre's look when he has to wait for somebody to come. I don't use a bell. I just wait for Mom to tell me it's time to go out. I take her word for it.

    Love and licks,

  10. We have bells too. All of our Angels used them, but none of us does on a regular basis. Once in a while Timber does. We need to work on that.

  15. The differences in the way the two of them do it is too funny! We used to have a cat who would rattle the blinds when he wanted to go out. We tried to turn him into an indoor cat but he drove us so nuts with that, we just couldn't!

  18. That is so funny. We taught our first dog to use the bell, so the second learned. Hailey refused the bell but will scratch at the door. Phod just comes and nudges you.
