All They Want for Christmas is Dog Treats #Recipes

Some of the best Christmas gifts are homemade and that goes for food too. Unfortunately, most of the traditional human goodies are not healthy for our best friends. All they want for Christmas is dog treats! Here are some delicious dog-approved recipes from Kurgo. Bentley and Pierre are hoping they will find these in their stockings on Christmas morning.

Kurgo Cargo Cape for Traveling with Dogs

Kurgo Cargo Cape

You have probably heard of Kurgo® and their great products for outdoor fun with your dogs.  The company was started by two brothers, Kitter and Gordie Spater in 2003.  Their goal was to create products that were well designed, innovative and make it easier to travel with our pets.  I say, “Mission accomplished!” when it comes to the Kurgo Cargo Cape™.

D.I.Y. Holiday Dog Treats

One of the Christmas traditions we have on the bayou is baking goodies and making candies.  The only problem is none of the things we enjoy are good for our dogs.  As much as they insist a little chocolate won’t hurt them, they are wrong.  It is best to avoid giving your pet any candy or treats meant for humans.
This year, thanks to our friends at Kurgo, I can bake something special just for them.  Now all of those pleading eyes can be answered with a doggie-approved holiday treat.

Kurgo Makes a Quantum Leap in Dog Leashes

I am a leash hoarder.  We have more than a professional dog walker, but all of them serve different purposes.  I have some cutesy ones, some retractable ones, leather, paracord, and training ones.  We even still have our quick-release short collar from our police K-9 Shepherd.  Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a leash that does the job of several and still look stylish?  In the words of Santa, “I have just what you asked for and more.  Ho*Ho*Ho!”
The Kurgo Reflect and Protect Quantum Leash has everything that you’re looking for in a dog-walking product.  When my leash arrived, I wasn’t sure how to use it.  This is because it is unlike all of my leashes.  KURGO has developed the Quantum Leash to extend to a 6-foot long lead.  Nothing new there, but just wait!

The Importance of Washing Your Dog's Bowl

You don’t eat from dirty dishes, so why should your dog?  We know to refresh their drinking water throughout the day.  We know to feed them on a schedule.  That is just
part of being a responsible pet parent.  It is easy to simply dump out the old water and fill it up with fresh.  After you give them their food, it is usually time to go outside for a potty break.  Before you realize it, it is time to change their water or feed them again.  It’s the same routine day after day.  Oops, you forgot to wash out their bowls…again.  They are staring at you and eagerly awaiting their bowls to be set down.  It won’t hurt to wash them later.  You’ll remember, right?  Maybe not and before you know it, they have been eating and drinking out of bowls that haven’t been washed in a week.
