When you are a pet parent planning a vacation, you're faced with two options. You can take your best friends with you or book them their own getaway at a local pet resort. The problem then becomes finding a pet-friendly hotel or a reputable place to keep your pet while you’re away. We have experienced both with Bentley and Pierre. For first-timers, it can be a nerve-wracking situation. Thankfully, there is a website that can help. It is called Furlocity®.
This site is very user-friendly as it provides you with lists of pet-friendly hotels along your route or approved pet resorts in your area. They are currently adding businesses in both realms of service. If you are such an establishment and would like to be included on their site, you can apply on their “List My Business” page.
If you are a pet-parent, then you will be excited to see how many pet-friendly hotels are available for your travels. That always seems to be our biggest problem when planning a trip. With Furlocity, I can go to one source and find accommodations all along our route. The great thing is that each time you book a stay through their site; you earn points towards free or discounted nights. When you visit the site, you’ll notice a list of services to choose from but at this time, only the pet resort and pet-friendly hotels are available. To find your hotel, you enter the city or airport of your destination, dates, the number of guests and rooms needed, then hit search. Furlocity will fetch a list of hotels to match your needs.
For the pet resorts, you select your location, the dates, the number of pets and rooms needed then click “find it.” You can rest easy knowing that Furlocity has a stringent screening process in place for these businesses. They ensure the resorts are clean and safe as well as licensed and insured with trained certified employees.
I like the fact that they give a portion of their proceeds to help change the lives of pets and people. Their Book a Stay, Change a Life™ program supports organizations like PAWS, Morris Animal Foundation and K9s for Warriors.org. and others.
Are you a pet parent that is planning a vacation? @Furlocity can make those plans easier. Visit http://t.co/GOaEU9bpiD to learn more.

I am pleased to be co-hosting another Thoughtless Thursday Blog Hop with my friends Ruckus the Eskie and Love is being owned by a Husky. You are welcome to join us and remember, don't think...just link!
So MANY hotels are pet friendly now! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend staying at many of the Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Westin is super friendly with pet beds and water bowls for the fur friends. And Le Meridien is BEYOND pet friendly (don't have to sign a waiver, no restrictions on how many pets you can bring - just be under 40 lbs, and they set up potty areas for the animals).
I love traveling with our pets!
We travel lots with our peeps... I'm hard to board with my allergeez and all my meds...
ReplyDeleteGlad so many hotels are pet furiendly now!

We plan our trips around our pups and they ALWAYS come with us everywhere -- sites like this are such a great tool to use for people who travel with their pups!!
ReplyDeleteIt's great that more and more howltels accept fourlegged guests. we currently plan our howliday for september and we hope there are a lot of petriednly howltels on our side of the pond too :o)
ReplyDeleteMom rarely leaves home on a trip without us, and if she does, we stay with friends or relatives. Bailie hasn't ever been left behind, but she would probably just stay at her daycare place since she is familiar with it.
ReplyDeleteWe have seen a few such websites and find them useful but the more there is the more easier it is to find something we are looking for
ReplyDeleteThank goodness we get to stay with our best friends

Mom says if she can't take us that she isn't going! She said she could NOT sleep at night without us hogging the bed. But this is good info for those who need it!

We don't travel with our peeps at all. But we can see how that site would be very helpful for pet parents.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great site! Good info!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this, our dogs go with us all the time good to know there is a resource for hotels and dogs
ReplyDeletePretty cool concept. So many of us now want to bring our pets along when we travel, but we still need to find places for them during, for example, a wedding or other event we're traveling to. We have a wedding coming up in another state soon. We plan to drive w/ our dogs, making it a fun vacation along the way. We will need at least one night of boarding in that city for the time we are at the wedding.
