A Furlocity Vacation

When you are a pet parent planning a vacation, you're faced with two options. You can take your best friends with you or book them their own getaway at a local pet resort. The problem then becomes finding a pet-friendly hotel or a reputable place to keep your pet while you’re away. We have experienced both with Bentley and Pierre. For first-timers, it can be a nerve-wracking situation. Thankfully, there is a website that can help.  It is called Furlocity®.
Furlocity registration page

This site is very user-friendly as it provides you with lists of pet-friendly hotels along your route or approved pet resorts in your area. They are currently adding businesses in both realms of service. If you are such an establishment and would like to be included on their site, you can apply on their “List My Business” page.
If you are a pet-parent, then you will be excited to see how many pet-friendly hotels are available for your travels. That always seems to be our biggest problem when planning a trip. With Furlocity, I can go to one source and find accommodations all along our route. The great thing is that each time you book a stay through their site; you earn points towards free or discounted nights. When you visit the site, you’ll notice a list of services to choose from but at this time, only the pet resort and pet-friendly hotels are available. To find your hotel, you enter the city or airport of your destination, dates, the number of guests and rooms needed, then hit search. Furlocity will fetch a list of hotels to match your needs.
Furlocity Search and Find page

For the pet resorts, you select your location, the dates, the number of pets and rooms needed then click “find it.” You can rest easy knowing that Furlocity has a stringent screening process in place for these businesses. They ensure the resorts are clean and safe as well as licensed and insured with trained certified employees.
Furlocity Paw Approved Seal   I like the fact that they give a portion of their proceeds to help change the lives of pets and people. Their Book a Stay, Change a Life™ program supports organizations like PAWS, Morris Animal Foundation and K9s for Warriors.org. and others.
If you have vacation or a weekend getaway planned with or without your four-legged best friend, let Furlocity take the stress out of your booking. Reservations are guaranteed and instant.

  1. So MANY hotels are pet friendly now! I love it!
I highly recommend staying at many of the Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Westin is super friendly with pet beds and water bowls for the fur friends. And Le Meridien is BEYOND pet friendly (don't have to sign a waiver, no restrictions on how many pets you can bring - just be under 40 lbs, and they set up potty areas for the animals).
I love traveling with our pets!

  6. Mom rarely leaves home on a trip without us, and if she does, we stay with friends or relatives. Bailie hasn't ever been left behind, but she would probably just stay at her daycare place since she is familiar with it.

  12. Mom says if she can't take us that she isn't going! She said she could NOT sleep at night without us hogging the bed. But this is good info for those who need it!

  15. Pretty cool concept. So many of us now want to bring our pets along when we travel, but we still need to find places for them during, for example, a wedding or other event we're traveling to. We have a wedding coming up in another state soon. We plan to drive w/ our dogs, making it a fun vacation along the way. We will need at least one night of boarding in that city for the time we are at the wedding.
