It's Summer Time and the Reading is Fun

Do you have your summer reading list yet? If you are spending time lounging by the pool or digging your toes in the sand at the beach, you will want something good to read. What are you going to do in the passenger’s seat during those long road trips? Pass the time escaping into a book. We all know the best way to avoid a conversation on a plane or train is to read. Are you heading to the BlogPaws conference? I have just the books to get you in the mood.
Many of you know that I began my blogging career as a platform for my book series, The Returns. There are two books so far and a third is still in the works. It has taken me longer to finish the third because I have been working so hard to pursue my blogging career. My plan is to have it finished and ready for Christmas. That gives you time to meet my characters and enjoy their first two adventures!
The Returns in the French Quarter with books

Who are The Returns?
What happens if you arrive at the Pearly Gates before your time?
F.B.I Agent Bentley Clanton finds out the hard way as he is directed to a little-known area devoted to correcting glitches in the longevity system. The Returns Department specializes in finding appropriate bodies for “early arrivals” before sending them back to earth. It seemed an acceptable solution until Bentley realizes his new body includes long velvety ears, four stubby legs with giant paws, and a tail. Helping him adjust to life as a Basset Hound is his rookie Guardian Angel, along with three other canine Returns.
Laugh along as a delightful Golden Retriever, a feisty Chihuahua, and Flamboyant Westie joins Bentley to form an unlikely brotherhood of crime-fighting heroes. The Returns takes you on a fun-loving, junk food eating adventure through the exciting streets of New Orleans during Mardi Gras.

Love The Returns? Then you’re going to really love Showstoppers!
"The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog."
The Returns 2 ~ Showstoppers
The Returns are back!
The Returns, whose human lives were mistakenly cut short, found themselves being returned to Earth in the bodies of some of the funniest dogs in creation! Now, they have a new case to sink their teeth into. Your favorite fun-loving, junk food eating, crime fighting canines are once again partnered with FBI Agent Aiden Davenport. Someone is stealing the world’s top show dogs and the boys go undercover to sniff out the criminals.
Enjoy the laughter and adventure as the gang takes you on a thrilling journey from the quaint French Quarter of New Orleans to the exciting crowds of Times Square in New York City.
What others are saying…
* “Best chuckle in a mystery I've had in a long time. A good story. There is plenty of mystery, funny characters with interesting personalities and just a hint of forbidden romance between a mortal and an angel returned to earth.” C. Colley
* “Such a fun read. A creative adventure with romance centered around dogs. I really loved this book and can't wait to start reading Showstoppers! D. Gruzenski
* “Brilliantly clever, fast-paced, raucously funny, sensitive and loving are the first words that come to mind when attempting to describe The Returns by M.K. Clinton.” Caren G.
* “I loved The Returns, and I loved Showstoppers even more! The book grabbed me right away at the very beginning and held me emotionally captive throughout.” C. Armato
Both books are available in digital or paperback through Amazon. Click The Returns or Showstoppers to fetch your copy. If you are a member of Kindle Unlimited, you can read both books FREE!

  2. I like to read more than my mom does. She rarely reads, but when she does read, the book is finished usually in a day. She has never been one for books, more short stories and articles which is why I think she loves blogs and blogging so much. We must get your books and read them one of these days.

  5. I've always wanted to come back as a dog. I'm not sure I would fight crime though. I'd probably sleep a lot. These sound perfect for summer reading.

  6. These books are so fun, I just love the characters! I'm still working on Showstoppers - I just don't have the time to read that I used to. But it's kind of fun to make it last longer too. I'm excited about the third book as well!

    1. MOL! Our mom laughed at this - her reading list is sooooo long, she's taken to buying books that have Audible versions so she can at least listen to them while driving home from work! (pitiful!)
