Weekend Fun

We are joining our friends McGuffy's Reader and 15 and Meowing for Friendly Fill-Ins. Be sure to hop around and see everyone’s answers.
• The best part of where I live are the mild winters. It rarely snows and when it does, the entire city shuts down!

• The worst part of where I live is our children don’t live here which means our granddaughter doesn't live here!

• If I had the money, I would have a place where dogs could live out their lives with love and comfort.

• My favorite article of winter clothing is my LSU hoodie. As you can see, it is in two of these photos!

We would like to thank the men, women, and dogs would have served or are serving our country in the armed forces.

Enjoy Your Veterans Day weekend.
It's the Pet Parade Blog Hop!  Join the fun with Rascal and RoccoBionic Basil’s Blog, and me. We are open all week so join the parade!

    1. Snow is so unusual here that we simply have no idea how to drive in it and I've never seen a snow shovel. LOL!

    1. I wouldn't mind it snowing once a year (for one day) but I don't like the melting slush. I'm not a big fan of cold weather.

  7. I hear you about the snow. Even though we are north of you snow can still paralyze our city too. We don't get much so we don't have tons of equipment like Virginia and north and omcs it can take 4ever to clear our roads.

Your little wee person is aDORable!

    1. Thank you! She is my favorite wee human! If there is even a dusting of snow, you can't find bread in any store. LOL!

  8. SHE loves the mild, no-snow winters here....and the NO HUMIDITY summers. Love the fill-ins.

  9. We do get a kick out of the places that "freeze up" if they get a smatter of snow. It takes an out right blizzard to shut things down here

    1. It is funny how people react to snow here. I think our kids were in high school before we ever had a big snow of like 7". I am here to tell you our city freaked out! Hahaha!

  11. We loved your fill in answers. We wish our city would shut down when it snowed. It would make life so much easier. :)

    1. Our city has no choice. We don't know how to drive in snow. There are no snow tires or snow shovels so we just hunker inside or build a snowman.

  12. It's funny to see y'all in the snow!! We actually saw our first flakes today, luckily it was not even enough to cover the ground yet (but it's windy and WAY too cold!).

    1. It is very tough to not be close to our granddaughter. That is why our house is for sale! We hope to move close to her soon.

That was a great video! Thanks so much.

  16. Our worlds are very different but I sure can see what you love about yours! It takes 6' of snow to shut down our area. It's happened only once in the the two decades I've been here.

    1. It is hard to imagine that much snow! My mom and brother live in NYC so they send me pics of giant snow piles. I love photos of snow but not the real deal too much.

  19. Hey my love! Have you guys moved out of Shreveport yet?? I hate that I didn't take the chance to meet up with you before we moved. My mom and dad are firmly planted in Bossier City (Greenacres Place) for life, haha. I miss those mild winters. Boston is a tundra of cold!! Anyhoo, if you are still in Louisiana, give it a big hug for me. I miss my people!!! And of course, I obsess over LSU football! LSU Law grad here!! :)

    1. Hey stranger!! Yes, we are still in Shreveport but our house is for sale so hopefully, we won't be here much longer. I can't imagine transplanting to somewhere with lots of snow. Our daughter got her master from LSU in B.R. and both my kids graduated from LSUS. Geaux Tigers!

  20. When we lived in London snow used to create chaos, so it's so nice to live in the Scottish Highlands where snow is a normal expected thing, so live just goes on.

  21. Oh my gosh, that snow pic is hilarious! Clearly the boys enjoyed it more than you did judging by that taunt leash. Ah yes, snow...we once knew you well. Now if you'd just grace us with your presence to cut down on the crunched up leaf dust though I admit not having to shovel a large corner lot with sidewalks isn't bad at all. 😇

    1. Bentley and Pierre enjoyed the snow since it was new to them. I'm not a fan of cold weather but since snow is so rare, we always go out exploring in it.

  23. I was just looking back through your older posts. When was that snow picture taken?? Lol. I can't remember a snow in Louisiana in forever and a day. All I know is ice and the I220 always closing. This place was a HUGE shock to my system. It's funny to say 47 degrees is warm, but it is now! When I was down in Baton Rouge for school, I don't think it got cold once. It was just always hot. Le Sigh...
