Pierre loves to chase
squirrels and lizards. His pursuit of
these elusive lizards plays havoc on my monkey grass. He will sit at the back door and stare out
until a lizard or squirrel is brave enough to enter his yard. Then, it is like that wonderful old black
& white television show:
The Wild, Wild Westie!
This is Pierre’s usual
lizard stalking pose.
The lucky lizard gets
away…this time!
This is Sunday’s Black
& White Blog Hop.
Thanks to Dachshund Nola
and Sugar the Golden Retriever for hosting!
Please join me in hopping
to these other great blogs!
I have never seen a lizard in my life. Wonder if I could catch such one, if I saw one. Luckily for the lizard, probably not BOL.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is funny. We have lizards everywhere around us. Yes, you could probably catch one. They are pretty cool little creatures. : )
DeleteYikes! Has he caught them before? We see them in Florida, but Mom says if I catch one and put it in my mouth she will disown me. She doesn't like anything in the reptile family and thinks I would be contaminated or something :)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately for the lizards, yes. They wriggle so he usually just manages to grab their tails. They do grow their tails back but for a time after he came to live with us, we had several tailless lizard scurrying around! : )
DeleteLucky lizard :P
ReplyDeleteI'm happy for the ones that got away!
DeleteHaha! Welcome to the wild wild west! Lol
ReplyDeleteLove your photos and that is one lucky lizzard :)
((Husky hugz frum da pack))
Thanks so much! I love your new blog look!
Deleteomg that butt shot is the BEST! BOL! Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThat is how he looks during hot weather when the lizards are out. If he doesn't have his head buried in the monkey grass, he is watching and waiting for squirrels. He is the mighty hunting Westie!
DeletePierre looks to be a good hunter!
ReplyDeleteHe would love to join your crew to go hunting!
DeleteOh that cute little butt! Hahaha. That's a lucky lizard! ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Thanks! He looks like that a lot! My poor garden is ravaged all summer!
DeleteWhat a great title for your post! I remember that old show!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate it. I snickered when I thought of it because I used to love that show!
DeleteTerriers are so prey-driven! I had to keep Mr. N away from a mole once.
ReplyDeleteOMG! We have holes everywhere from him digging for moles! I will freak out if he ever catches one!
DeleteLove the fluffy butt!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope you had a great weekend. : )
DeleteIt is too cold fur lizards where we lives :) Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThey have left for the winter here, but Pierre will be ready as soon as spring arrives.
DeleteSuch a cute booty!
ReplyDeleteNola
Aww, he appreciates it! : )
Deletehaha, that shot cracks me up! Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! It does look funny and when he is finished, his face is covered with dirt.
DeleteI know that pose...seen it many a time!
ReplyDeleteDo yours chase lizards? Pierre chases anything that moves outside.
DeleteNow that sounds like a great movie! ;) We have lots of those little anoles around here, but Shiner has never paid much attention to them.
ReplyDeleteBentley doesn't care about them either. He will chase a squirrel but gave up on frogs and lizards. Pierre is obsessed with anything that moves.
DeleteLove that rear end shot! Too funny!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa! Have a great week and thanks for hopping by today.
DeleteThe great white westie lizard hunter! Adorable post!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are so brave! I think I would run away from a lizard. Hunting bugs is more my thing.
