Dogs need the change of scenery from the house and yard.
•
You can socialize your pup by walking in a local park where they can encounter
strangers and other dogs.
•
If you walk in your neighborhood, people will recognize your dogs if they ever
get lost. This could make a difference in getting them back!
•
Walking is FUN!

it's great to walk with a dog...we can reload our batteries and the mama can hear the bestest rumours of the neighborhood while chatting with the people...
ReplyDeleteWe love to scout out the neighborhood and smell pee mail to keep up with what is going on around here.
DeleteThe three of us go walking everyday!
ReplyDeleteWalking Pierre is a task, I would love to see the three of you sashaying through the neighborhood!
DeleteMy walk is the highlight of my day! We saw a lady pushing a stroller yesterday and she came right up next to us and believe it or not, I was afraid of the stroller!
ReplyDeleteStrollers can run over paws so it might not be a bad idea to avoid them! BOL!
DeleteOnce again, Bentley, we are on the same page. I have a very similar post today with a link to an older post with my six reasons, LOL! Have a good walk!
ReplyDeleteEven though the miles separate us, we are one. I love you! XXOO Bentley
DeleteWhat pretty scenery, but they don't seem to be sniffing very much.
ReplyDeleteThey do waaaaaay more sniffing than walking! LOL!
DeleteIt'll be good to get back to walking again. Ghostwriter used to walk the doggies everyday unless it was pouring rain or ice.
ReplyDeleteIt has been so hot here that we are very ready for the cooler days when walking is not so draining. It is supposed to cool down next week!
DeleteThose are all great reasons!!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
Thanks! We remind Mom about them all of the time.
DeleteAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I bet you two Studs draw lots of attention when you are strutting your studdly selves! Love this post
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
Oh, we are going to walk extra studdly in your honor, Madi!
DeleteAll great reasons!
ReplyDeleteFeel free to use them if it looks as if you are missing a walking opportunity. BOL! BOL!
DeleteThere are really 101 reasons!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
At least that many but our paws got tired. Happy running!
DeleteIf I couldn't walk with my dogs, I wouldn't be fit to be around. Luckily, the dogs happily satisfy my walking needs-we walk anywhere from 3 to 6 miles a day, depending on the weather.
ReplyDeleteI think Pierre could go 3 to 6 miles but Bentley and my knees keep it at 1 mile.
DeleteThe only time the mom wishes she had a dog is for walking...it would give her the excuse to get out there more and walk. (Though she really does love dogs.)
ReplyDeleteOne of you cats should take up walking with her! Y'all might like it.
DeleteThose are all great reasons, and we love to walk just for the sheer enjoyment and exercise!
ReplyDeleteJan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
It is great to get outdoors and breath the fresh air. The boys love it.
DeleteGreat reasons for walking! Any time with our peeps is great
ReplyDeletehugs
Hazel & Mabel
We agree 100%.
DeleteThose are all great reasons ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! We love our walks.
DeleteI need to get out and walk more!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful walking paths! I think I recognize that third photo as the town of Sedona, am I right? You make a good point that walking your dog in the 'hood a lot will help neighbors recognize your dog if he ever gets lost.
ReplyDeleteLove & biscuits,
