“We hope that you aren’t too frightened to go out among the ghosts and goblins after seeing these scary movie posters!
You might be wondering why I am dressed as Captain Hook. The answer is right beside me. My little sister wanted to be Tinkerbell and since she is my best friend, I wanted to match her. We are going trick or treating together with our parents!
Bentley and Pierre will be at their house getting their Academy Award speeches ready.

Why I Am So Thankful This Thursday

It has been a good while since I participated in a Thankful Thursday post. Not because I didn’t have anything to be thankful for, it is just that my calendar is full, so I put it off for another week.
Sometimes you receive such good news that all other things get pushed back and you want to shout THANK YOU from the rooftop or quietly with your head bowed. In this case, I want to do both!

Step-In Style with PrideBites

If you follow us on a regular basis, you know that we are huge fans of PrideBites. They have been our go-to company for everything from toys to collars for several years. I believe in their products so much that I am a proud PrideBites PAWtner.

One of the advantages I get is testing out and reviewing some of their newest products. They recently introduced their Step-In harness so we ordered one for Pierre. He has to wear a harness anytime he is on a leash because he is a puller. This causes him to do an over-dramatic gagging exhibition so people think we are choking him.

• Only dress your pet up if they enjoy the process. Costumes that are too confining or block their vision are to be avoided. We usually dress the Bayou Boys up for their photo session and then we are done. They do not participate in trick or treating and we don’t go to pet costume contests. If your pet decides to ingest part of a costume, you could be spooked with a $1,872 vet bill to remove it.

The Power of Power Pops

The other day when our delivery of Dr. Harvey’s arrived, the Bayou Boys seemed unusually giddy. I know they love their Paradigm and Pierre can barely contain himself while I mix in their protein and oil each meal. No, this was something different. That’s when I saw the bags of Dr. Harvey’s Power Pops inside the box!

Bentley Basset Hound: “Hello and welcome to this week in BFTB NETWoof News. It’s been another busy week in the animal world so let’s get to our top story.”

Pierre Westie: “I always like to start out with a report that gives us faith in the humans among us. A woman in Malibu thought she saw an anteater roaming the streets. She called her husband and neighbor who discovered it wasn’t an anteater at all. A coyote had gotten its head stuck in a plastic pipe and quickly disappeared before they could help.

Keep Calm and Enjoy Friday 13th

Are you a superstitious person? You are safe spending part of your Friday Thirteenth with us. We are tossing caution to the wind and jumping on three blog hops for the weekend.
Our first hop is Da DB Boyz and Rosie’s Flower Friday. Join in for some beautiful flora throughout Blogville. We are sharing some gorgeous flowers that Skipper photographed when he was in Eisenach, Germany for work. I dream of having window boxes like these one day.

Weekend Fun

It is already the weekend and we are happy to join Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by our pals 15 & Meowing and McGuffy’s Reader.
• October is the perfect time to sit on the back porch and enjoy our morning coffee while the dogs play.
• Halloween means carloads of trick or treaters will be descending upon our neighborhood dressed in fun costumes and cruising for candy.
• Every October, I look forward to the leaves turning red and gold.
• My experience with the supernatural world is only in my dreams and when pets that have left me make themselves known.

BFTB NETWoof News October 2, 2017

Bentley Basset Hound: “Welcome to BFTB NETWoof News for the first week of October. Who else agrees that this year is flying by us at warp speed? We have some fun stories to help put a smile on your face so let’s get right to it. Pierre?”

Pierre Westie: “We really got a chuckle out of our top story. A family looked in their backyard and saw a bear cub. That was shocking but when the mama bear lumbered in behind her baby, they weren’t sure what was about to happen. The cub was only interested in one thing…the family’s inflatable pink flamingo pool toy! They watched as the little fellow wrestled with the oversized floatie until the mama bear got tired of her child’s antics. When she left, the cub quickly followed her but he took the flamingo with him!”
