We Messed Up!

Me: “Bentley…Pierre…Come here quick! We made a BIG mistake and have to correct it right away.”

Bentley: “OMD! What happened. Let me just say that I’m sure I didn’t do anything wrong. It must have been you and Pierre.”

Pierre: “Hold it right there, Bentley. It wasn’t me. I’m pretty sure that I was not even in the country when whatever happened occurred. There is no need for actual witnesses, is there?”

Me: “Before ya’ll go throwing each other and me under the bus, why don’t you ask what I’m talking about?”

Bentley: “Okay, what did you do and how can the Bayou Boys fix it for you?”

Me: “Yesterday was Paisley’s fourth birthday and we forgot to celebrate on the blog. I feel so bad. She is our first granddog and loves us so much. She did get a bully stick and some ice cream. Dad and I took her a chew bone, but we should have done more. ”

Pierre: “No kidding! Where was the cake? What about the ice cream? As her cousins and co-anchors, Bentley and I are entitled to all party favors and refreshments. You are really falling down on the job, Mom.”

Bentley: “I can’t believe we forgot Paisley’s birthday. We just got so excited to tell everyone about our Totally Grainless treats that it completely slipped my mind. Let’s send her a bag of the Sausage Bites over as a surprise. We need to write these important dates down so this doesn’t happen again. Especially since my birthday is next month on December 3^rd.”

Me: “We can still make this right if we all do one thing and I think y’all know what that is…”
